"Pat Sin Leng" translates to: "the ridge of eight immortals."

"Cliiiimb ev'ry mountaaaaain" --Sound of Music

Time to chat about two hikes I did way back!! So it turns out MH and George usually go for hikes every Tuesday morning before class (since it doesn't start until 2:30), and they invited me one day to hike Buffalo Hill, which is in Ma On Shan.

The hike was great! Lots of rocky steps and ridge line hiking, with amazing views of the distant city and the nearby mountains surrounding us. We stopped at shared some snacks at the summit of the mountain and ended up finishing our hike in Sai Kung, where we ate some delicious dim sum on the waterfront. Afterwards, I took both of them to my fave: Honeymoon Dessert!! MH ordered the mango sweet sago soup, George got the one with lots of mixed fruit and a mango base, and I got the coconut base with the most traditional HK things (the black is grass jelly, there's red beans, and mochi).

When I came back I felt so accomplished, as we'd just done a whole hike and explored Ma On Shan and Sai Kung together before our class. Since classes are online, I sat outside my fave spot (Morningside dorm). and had an apple and salad for lunch. The view is always the best part!

After class (and each class is THREE HOURS omg), my marketing group went out to celebrate the end of our recent presentation. We went to a hot pot restaurant for dinner in TST.

The skyline was beautiful and the food was delicious!

I ended up spending way too much money because you order on your phone and can keep placing orders (so you already knowww I kept adding more veggies!)

The next hike I went on was also before class, known as Pat Sin Leng. I spent part of the morning after my workout relaxing on the roof and reading a new Nicholas Sparks book.

Anna, Siona, MH, and I took a bus to the start of the hike, following Journey Era's blog as a guide. I'm such a fangirl because I messaged him on Instagram and he responded back to me hahaha. We stopped at the beautiful water before proceeding to the rest of the hike.

This hike also had us following the ridge of the mountains--and as the name suggests, we were covering eight separate peaks!

One point was just so beautiful so I ran for a bit! Of course I was the only one who wanted to, "you go ahead, Zoe"😂😂😂 But they took a cool picture of me:)

The wind was waving my hair, the clouds were low and causing a slight mist, and the mountains were all around me. The city was also below, and the whole time we could see Shenzhen! I felt like the king of the world.

I love love loved seeing the "medium Buddha" right below us:

(ignore the super messy hair and cringey face, the wind was everywhere😂😂)

At one point we saw the mountains next to each other and I commented that they reminded me of the dumplings we made: "pinch, pinch, pinch," the way the eight peaks were folded into one another. Super cool:)

Both were such great hikes!! Pat Sin Leng was def one of my favorites.

xoxo
